The Australian Army Band - Morning Melodies
1 RAR Band is known throughout North Queensland as the premiere military band of the north. Not only does the band carry out ceremonial tasking for the Army, it also finds itself in great demand from the public for performances. This goes hand in hand with the band’s role in raising the profile of the army to the civilian community. It is often said that the band is the public face of the Army in the north. Consisting of twenty highly talented musicians, the band often performs a variety of styles from swing through to popular chart toppers. Vocals, instrumentals, marching displays, and comedy pieces are all part of the bands repertoire. 2010 will be another busy year for the band with an estimated 200 performances. 1RAR Band continues to produce high quality entertainment for the Army and the general public and is keen to build on its outstanding reputation.
