Cast for the Roadshow 2013 will be:
Colin Lane (MC)
Cal Wilson
Tommy Dean
Asher Treleaven
Dayne Rathbone
Colin Lane
Comedian / Professional Show Off
Colin Lane is best known as the Lano from Lano and Woodley, Australia'sbest loved comedy duo. In almost 20 years together Lano & Woodley won the coveted Perrier Award for best show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, starred in their own television series and toured sold out shows across the country. Sadly they are no longer, after saying 'Goodbye' in 2006 with a national tour that took in 34 markets and sold more than 125,000 tickets.
Cal Wilson
Comedian/Broadcaster/Actor
Cal Wilson is one of the most well rounded media talents in the country and consequently is in high demand. Her comedy career started back in New Zealand in 1990, where she was a founding member of the Court Jesters improv group, and was part of the NZ team that won the World Theatresports title in Los Angeles in 1994. Cal is also a sought after MC for corporate events, and is exceptionally handy with a glue gun.
Tommy Dean
Arizona-raised, now resident in Sydney for 16 years, American stand-up star Tommy Dean occupies the top echelons of Australia's headline comedy artists. Tommy's astute, clean, observational comedic style consistently make him a stand out winner with theatre audiences, corporate clients, Festival producers, TV and radio shows alike. With pin sharp banter, genial manner and a vast stock of broad appeal hilarious routines interweaving the foibles of his adopted home country with the dark reality of his home country Tommy never fails to connect with and impress any audience.
Asher Treleaven
Asher spent his early years sat in the back of an army green panel van driving up and down the east coast of Australia with his Hippy/Bogan parents. He attended Woodburn public school and when he wasn't getting into trouble for being the class dick he was exploring the 200 hectare sugar cane farm his family lived near. He attended Mullumbimby High School and ironically was kicked out of Drama class in year 8 for 'not being serious enough' not exactly the most promising start in show business. Asher has written 5 solo comedy shows Cellar Door, Open Door, Secret Door, Matador and most recently Troubadour. He's performed at comedy festivals all over Australia and is a regular performer at the Edinburgh Fringe. In 2009 with the assistance of a Moosehead Grant he earned his first critical success with a nomination for the 2009 Barry Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Then in 2010 Secret Door went gangbusters and won him the Age Newspapers Critics Choice Award and garnered Asher a Best Newcomer Nomination at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2010. Asher's blend of physical comedy, stand up and his burgeoning sense of socio political satire have made him one of the most fascinating comics working in Australia today. Not bad for a kid who was kicked out of year 8 drama for not being serious enough.
Dayne Rathbone
After a string of successful award-winning performances both nationally and internationally, including Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2011 and supporting Anthony Jeselnik (USA) on his debut Austrfalian Tour 2012, hilariously-awkward comedian Dayne Rathbone will perform his absurdly dunny stand-up show, "It's Me Dayne at Fring World 2013" A must-see!
